The process consisted of basically 4 rounds:
1. Online test (Technical+aptitude)
2. Group Discussion
3. Technical Interview
4. HR Interview
Round wise details are as follows:
1.Online test - In the technical section, questions were asked for all the fields of mechanical engineering. But the major focus was on strength of materials , manufacturing processes and final element analysis. The difficulty level of questions was medium one and one could clear it if your basics are right. Coming to the aptitude part , proper practice will secure your entry into second round.
2. GD - In the 1st round, around 60 students appeared and 28 students were selected for GD. They were basically checking your speaking skills and your ability to communicate in a GD.
3. Technical Interview - After round 2, 12 students were selected. questions were asked from the projects, internship and your favourite subject. But since my favourite subject was similar to the guy who was interviewed just before me , the interviewer started asking questions from all the domains of mechanical engineering. Once again if you understand the subject properly , you would be able to clear the interview.
4.HR Interview- 7 students were shortlisted for HR interview. The questions were similar like why they should hire you , what are special qualities in you and like that stuff.
Finally they hired 4 students and I was quite happy to be one of them.
