Received an email that I had been selected to proceed to the next round which was a video interview to record responses to several questions. The email stated that my responses at this stage would not impact my application process. The video FAQs page for the recording of the video say to be yourself etc etc and show your passion. How in such an unorthodox interview step? Less than a day later I receive an update that I have not been successful on this occasion. I have to think that it's to do with my recorded responses. I thought it would be recorded responses, then an interview to expand on responses with actual people. All in all a highly strange and unbalancing experience. I'm not sure if I'm a little bitter from the rejection, or the process itself. Spending time to record responses before the deadline, then receiving a No soon afterwards. Makes you think the first impression will be the same nonsense when you get through the door.
