Had an interview with recruiter, then with the hiring manager. After that, they wanted me to complete a case study to highlight my skills with data analysis. Well...I didn't meet their standards so I was NOT considered any further. I spent so much time on it! SO MUCH!! :( I am glad that the recruiter contacted me back to provide with some feedback after I had requested it. Super helpful and kind! All of the employers were great to chat with and seemed to love 2U :) One thing I will have to argue with the feedback is...I understand that data analysis is something that is a key importance to the daily work responsibilities. I recently graduated from undergrad and I am eager to learn and get experience with digital marketing and analytics because that is something I am passionate about. Is data analysis something I couldn't be trained with on the job for?? Employers today could care less about recent graduates as if they were never in that position- it is only about experience. I had applicable experience with assisting graduate programs with digital campaigns in my year-long internship as well as some exposure to data analysis in other consulting projects and self-study. But since it wasn't up to the companies standards, they didn't want to move forward. How am I supposed to get experience if nobody will give it to me??? That is the real question. Recent graduates are full of creativity and excitement to gain knowledge and experience in their chosen field. You have to understand are trying to gain experience and the skill sets employers are looking for. You have to give them a chance. I am not trying to sound unprofessional - I am just being honest about my experience and outlook.
