Inconvénients
Dear Founders, I tried to speak up but no one seemed to listen. That's why I'm writing here in Glassdoor. I enjoyed working at SkyKick in the beginning but the last year was not fun. The European team is diverse, but most of the managers were Dutch. The team was thinking and seeing things only in a certain way. For example, many of my old colleagues, including me, were put off by the way the leadership had passive-aggressively pushed people to go to the office - in the pandemic! Even as the Dutch government was saying - daily - for people to work at home. This leadership team doesn't take feedback well about their own behavior. What we heard locally is finger-pointing to the American team. Sadly they've been dishonest multiple times, and they don't seem to have employees' well-being in mind. Note the amount of burnouts and the bad behavior towards many employees. The management team is a little club, and it looks like you have to be a yes-man to be praised or get a promotion. I saw several colleagues put effort to change things for the better to build the company, but then they were just shot down. It was better to do nonsense things than to do things that actually built the future for the company.
