Avantages

Ideal for someone who is looking for a job to stay until retirement without ambition, career development or pay raise.

Inconvénients

Upper management is protecting their seats triggering toxic environment on below levels. Company culture doesn’t allow to speak up. Suggestions, initiatives or new ideas coming from employees are not welcome. Talented employees doesn’t last long at Semtech. Roles, responsibilities and workload hardly defined. No direction but quick in blaming someone for not doing the job. Vision, Purpose and Mission are lacking : no strategy but rather a quarterly to-do list to execute. The acquisition of Sierra Wireless is reinforcing Semtech weaknesses. Bad work life balance : heavy workload and they expect you to work during your vacation.

Avantages

* Some great colleagues (though many have already left now). * Decent legacy products and expertise from the Sierra Wireless days.

Inconvénients

* Mass Exodus: Since Semtech took over Sierra Wireless, many talented and experienced employees have left. The company has lost valuable knowledge and culture that made Sierra Wireless a great place to work. * Return to Office: They forced a mandatory return to the office without properly listening to employee concerns. There was little to no flexibility offered, and the decision was poorly communicated and handled. * Minimal Salary Adjustments: The company does the bare minimum in terms of salary raises and bonuses, offering no real incentives for employees to stay or perform at a higher level. * Lack of Motivation: There’s no focus on employee engagement or growth. We’re left feeling neglected, with no clear path forward or initiatives to motivate and support us. * Leadership Disconnect: Management seems out of touch with the dissatisfaction among employees. They show little interest in making meaningful improvements.
