J'ai travaillé chez Fuel Industries en Contrat Permanent (Pendant plus de 5 ans)

    Avantages

In it's early days, Fuel was a fantastic place to work. Always inspiring, full of amazingly talented people. The coolest clients such as Vans, HBO and Mattel. Formoer leadership were global influencers.

    Inconvénients

New ownership forced out talented folks so I can't speak on it's current status.

J'ai travaillé chez Fuel Industries en Contrat Permanent (Pendant plus de 10 ans)

    Avantages

Worked on some of the most amazing jobs of my career, and made life long friends with the people I worked with. It had so much potential. For all it's faults (which it had many) it was still home to a lot of talented people.

    Inconvénients

Unfortunately that amazing creative place is long gone. Fuel Inc went bankrupt in August and they changed the name to Fuel LTD in order to skirt some shady bankruptcy loophole so not to pay out any of the employees what they were owed.

In the end, you're just gonna be treated as dispensable.

    Conseils à la direction

They should of done things the right way, instead of the easy way.

    Inconvénients

Work life balance didn't really pan out so well.

    Conseils à la direction

    Godspeed!

Je travaille chez Fuel Industries à plein temps

    Avantages

Amazing talent. People who are hired are the best in their field. Very nice building with lots of room. Well decorated.

    Inconvénients

No direction. Little pay. Unrewarded overtime. It's a revolving door company. Amazing how many people get through one project and just move on.

    Conseils à la direction

Stop putting so many management resources on every single project, it's excessive up to the point where everyone is stepping on everyone else's feet and nothing gets done. Usually more management than the people building the actual project.

Je travaille chez Fuel Industries à plein temps

    Avantages

You will get to work with multiple brands and different types of projects (if lucky)

    Inconvénients

People work to please management, and not to do a good quality work., low salaries, people don't have a clue of what they are doing, designers don't know anything about code, developers don't know anything about design, managers and product managers think they are gods and bad work-life balance.

    Conseils à la direction

A manager should also worry about stress level, good quality work, is enough time to complete a task, how is your current job? Don't make people feel guilty for taking sick days, or going on vacation.

    Avantages

Young, fun, dynamic group of talented artists and developers, who all worked very well together.

    Inconvénients

It's the same theme as other reviews - poor management, lack of guidance and stability. People would work for hours and hours of unpaid overtime and then management would throw a beer and chips party and say "thanks" and then do it all over again. More unpaid overtime hours - no, promotions, no raises, etc. Projects were scheduled and budgeted for assumed unpaid overtime. Fuel believes themselves to be a "fun" company and therefor don't have to pay market value. Employees still working there should just look elsewhere. They'll make more money and feel much more valued.

    Conseils à la direction

It's hard to manage a good productive company. This is a group of guys that "made it" and felt success and then never took the right measures to maintain that success and hold onto talent. This is showing in their continued loss of clients and talent. Just being "hip and cool" doesn't last. Grow up and be responsible for your employees' careers.
