Avantages
Some Portfolio Managers (PMs) are top-notch, very knowledgeable, perform very well and are excellent teachers in their area of expertise. Nice canteen, overall friendly atmosphere
Inconvénients
Poor technology and infrastructure, as expenses in those areas are directly deducted from the partners' bonus pool, discouraging any investment there. Wide disparity in quality among Portfolio Managers (PMs), with some having an average tenure of only 1 year. Ridiculously low compensation for juniors. PnL relies on a limited number of profitable strategies, which are used to lure new clients into pouring additional capital into unprofitable ones, to collect more management fees.
