Avantages
Benefits are decent and 401k contribution is great at 10% for now + 5% matching. Salary and security is good. If you come into the company at entry level and hit the ground running, you'll advance quickly. There are cultural elements of the company to keep it a nice place to work. Regardless of what some may say about HR, they try hard to be neutral and make sure there are training available for personal and career development. Great place to hit the ground running and get promoted, get trained, and get some education paid for...then leave and come back to get around the Salary/Management Glass Ceiling.
Inconvénients
There is a continual decline in benefits which use to offset the salary compared to other companies. Promotional guidelines and merit increases seemed geared towards thinning the population of long term employees; those coming in new over the past years really have no idea how excellent the environment used to be. The company used to talk about how extraordinary we are but over the year the dialogue has changed to "...this is Best Practice...". It will be just a matter of time before the 401K contribution is slimmed down just the the medical. Then there is the Non-stop political infighting between departments which is at intolerable levels (particularly with the Sales department...awful back-stabbing managers!). The volume of work demanded of everyone is unsustainable.
