Avantages
If you put the effort in and produce results you are rewarded and recognised for it. The senior management expect results from you in all aspects of the role but the pressure is kept at a fairly sensible level for the most part... managers will generally not dump work on you. The atmosphere is generally good with only a few egos to deal with. You are left to manage yourself with regards to how you go about getting results and are treated as an adult.
Inconvénients
The company is top heavy with senior management, director of this, director of that, manager of blah, etc- this has devalued some of the job titles within the company. There can be a bit of 'click' within some parts of the company- especially if you are female.
