As a former executive, I feel compelled to warn others considering opportunities at this company. Although it presents itself as a caring and supportive environment, my experience reveals a different reality, one where various internal issues can seriously impact your well-being and career progression. You are expected to be nothing short of perfect and a corporate slave, they own you. Manipulative Culture of Conditional Favors: The workplace culture operates on a system of conditional favors. Colleagues may appear supportive, but often, assistance comes with strings attached, creating a manipulative environment that undermines trust and fosters a toxic dynamic among team members. Questionable Practices on Business Trips: Sharing rooms on business trips is common, but here it is used as a tool for conflict resolution. Employees are deliberately paired with colleagues with whom they have conflicts, under the assumption that this proximity will resolve underlying issues. This practice is not only ineffective but also detrimental to morale and mental health. Furthermore, if you resist this arrangement, you may be labeled as unreasonable or difficult, and accused of not understanding the work culture or respecting your boss's decisions. Sudden Terminations and Unethical Feedback Practices: The company frequently employs sudden terminations to remove employees, creating an atmosphere of fear and instability. Staff are required to provide negative feedback or email proof of minor mistakes—from a typo to not replying to an email—which are then used to justify these terminations. I have witnessed colleagues being forced to pack their bags while all other staff watch. This practice breeds distrust and resentment within teams. Inadequate Training and Support: Despite my role as an executive, I was expected to support managers across various departments without proper product training. There were instances where we had to play "guess the product" to determine its function during meetings, highlighting the severe lack of necessary training and resources. Lack of Leadership direction: There are no clear direction or leadership goals, you are constantly playing the guessing game. Promotions and opportunities for professional growth are reserved for a selected few. Definitely leave you feeling undervalued and stifled in your career paths. No proper workflow. Unquestionable Authority: In this environment, the boss is always considered right regardless of the logic behind their decisions. Employees are expected to unquestioningly follow instructions, even if they seem nonsensical or impractical. Blame Culture: Despite employees faithfully executing their assigned tasks, they are held responsible for any negative outcomes or failures. This creates a toxic atmosphere where fear of reprisal stifles creativity and innovation, and employees are discouraged from speaking up or questioning directives. Poor Work-Life Balance: The company expects your constant availability, even on weekends, if your manager text you, you better have your laptop with you to work on things. This expectation has led to significant burnout, affecting both mental and physical health of employees. There is no HR, only training with HR to get to know yourself better. Conclusion: While there are some positives to working at this company, the significant drawbacks, such as a manipulative work environment, lack of transparent policies, and unethical practices, heavily outweigh them. For those considering a position here, I strongly advise you to proceed with caution. There are substantial areas where the company needs to improve, particularly in leadership and fostering a truly supportive and equitable work environment.
