Avantages
Your peers are probably cool folks that you will likely bond with (some of my friends from there feel like trauma bonds). There are dogs, and you can bring your dog, this is great. Benefits exist if you can last long enough to use them. Compensation is comparable to similar titles at similarly sized companies. Discounted product.
Inconvénients
Leadership (LT) directives were unclear and chaotic, leaving me to assume that they had no plan and are hoping their employees will figure out what to do next on their own, or face getting fired/laid off. The owner is rogue and acts out in ways completely oppositional to anything 'by the book'-- if you don't 'jump when he says jump' then you'll face his immature outbursts that will leave you feeling embarrassed, upset and even more confused than before. Between the LT and the Owner the environment feels damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-dont, which I found to be emotionally taxing and distracting for my work. The LT has taken no accountability for mass layoffs, confusion, and a directionless trajectory. I left, and many others left. The wheels have fallen off since the c-suite joined the mix. It used to be a 'best place to work...' and the company was motivated by a purpose driven mission, they cared about their employees. Now the 'motivation' feels fear based and the goal is money... they've lost the plot.
