Avantages

Pros: Definitely the children. They were the best part of the job and the reason I loved going to work every day.

Inconvénients

Cons: The pay is very low for what you have to do every day. Very little room for advancement. Raises are very small. It is almost all females so with that comes drama. Management is okay but has favorites. Depending on your co-teachers, you could get stuck doing a lot of the days work.

Avantages

Free breakfast and lunch...which you probably do not want to eat. It is the same "slop" that they feed the kids. All of it is processed, comes out of a can, and overall not even 1% healthy.

Inconvénients

Incompetent management and "teachers". The employees there are not educated at all, at most they take a FEW early childhood development seminars...At the time, I had recently graduated with my bachelors degree in education and was disgusted by the attitudes of the "teachers". I witnessed something appalling happen to a 2 year old and when I told management they merely brushed it under the rug because the person in charge took a vacation that she had not gotten approved, so she was not there to take any action. When she returned, I tried to have a meeting with her and still nothing was done. Shortly after that I put in my two weeks notice because I could no longer work for a company that blatantly put children's lives at risk. Honestly, I would not be surprised if ALL day cares operate in the same manner. It is sad to think that these institutions do nothing to protect children, who are the very clients that keep their business afloat!
