      Job security, decent pay and overtime. Worked at riverside juvenile hall.

      Inconvénients

      Mandatory overtime, extremely low morale, negative environment, miserable co-workers, low staffing, unfavorable work schedule

      Good pay, secure job, promotions are possible

      Inconvénients

      long hours, miss alot of family time, possible injuries working in the jails.

      Avantages

      You learn a lot about Probation and Law Enforcement. Pay is above average, working conditions are decent. There are some options to promote but it is hard because many are trying to promote as well. Some supervisors are awesome and will have your back.

      Inconvénients

      You end up doing a lot more than you signed up for. The pay sometimes is not enough for what you have to do. As a rookie, you are not treated very well by your co-workers, especially some of the old-school guys. Some of the supervisors are not always pleasant to be around and don't treat all the PCO's the same. You get mandated to work extra shifts. You miss Holidays, Birthdays and other events. You will not have good days off until your 2nd-3rd year Maybe.
