Good communication manager skills and time.

No significant cons have come to my mind

- talented people (generally, but not everyone - talent bar is high for leadership but everyone else skates by) - ethical values - well meaning middle management layer (there is a severe disconnect between the hands on management of teams vs the top layer of leadership at this company)

- most of the work is done by 5% of the company - overly senior and not enough focus on middle management or early stage talent - the most senior leadership is not front lines and do not get in the weeds of helping the front line teams - it’s very limited growth even though they are the ones responsible for doing the work - senior leadership overly complicates very simple tasks - it’s much more focused on talking about what they are going to do vs actually getting in the weeds and doing it - not ideal in getting in front of challenges - senior team has not worked in startups and it’s very obvious - it is not an all hands on deck situation and in fact there is about 15 people out of the 70 that do their job day in and day out very well. They are regularly getting approached with opportunities and growth - your growth will stagnate here - beware of this - there are no career leaders and there is no clear direction for most people on any additional leadership opportunities - they think that throwing new talent will solve their fundamental business problems so there is a lot of people who recognized this pattern and went to a new company - and ended their employment there - unnecessarily manual of processes - leadership does not automate processing of simple tasks which causes admin issues
