      Avantages

      Since 2010 I was employed by REP in some capacity; performer, site deco, director, teacher, and crew. Overall, I would say the amount of knowledge I gleaned from this company was incomparable. I learned about history, street performance, songwriting, audience interaction techniques, how to direct, sewing, and so much more. I would highly recommend working with this company, should the opportunity arise. Definitely a place where one can grow as an entertainer and employee.

      Inconvénients

      It required traveling across the country from LA to New York every year, which was costly and exhausting. The pay was decent, but not commensurate with what I feel my worth is.

      Avantages

      A fun place to work and get entertainment experience in a period fashion.

      Inconvénients

      Pay is either non existent or very limited. I got lucky enough to be a paid cast, but not all casts are paid.

      Avantages

      My experience here showed future employers that I am personable and can interact well with the public. It was a lot of fun being part of the cast. I made lasting friendships and part of the time, under good conditions, it was a fun escape on the weekends.

      Inconvénients

      For much of the cast, there is no pay. There have been incidents involving harassment and tensions can rise between cast members. The conditions of performing outdoors in the heat and other weather of the summer and fall can be draining and uncomfortable.
