Avantages
Small enough company for an individual to affect change. Great benefits - Med/Vis/Dent/Hosp, company works on yearly benefits decisions as a group entity. No managers breathing down your neck to complete tasks. Valid, metric based bonuses and raises. Fresh ground coffee, Keurig, subsidized vending machines in office, and many teas available. No issues with headphones. New upper management seems more focused. Giant lot to park in makes it easy to get there, park, and get to work while knowing your car's safe from burglary and scratches or dings for the day.
Inconvénients
The worst part about this company is that it always have an "are we still going to be open next week?" feeling. Every project was questionable on revenues generating ability. There's not much "on the job" learning and it feels like what you were hired for is what you can plan to retire still doing. No focus on personal development and growth. The benefits have gone downhill a bit thanks to Obamacare. Actual yearly bonuses seemed to peek at about 4-5% and only actually occurred about every 2-3 years. Otherwise company was in a "spending freeze" conveniently during every yearly bonus, while hiring new assets and taking on more negative revenues jobs.
