Avantages

Highly respected company in the marketplace with a large portfolio of products. Decent enough wages. Some nice people.

Inconvénients

Buggy software that makes the end product overweight, leaky and unstable which looks like it never evolved out of Beta. This means that sales end up selling a product that doesn't work, project managers deliver an inadequate product and Support can't support the end user. Incompetence at all levels, usually the ones who have been there the longest whose transgressions are ignored. If you are a new employee, expect to be: bullied, talked about behind your back and not respected. Good work is "recognised", but not rewarded and may bite you in the butt later. People not prepared to work for the good of the company, as a team, but more on an individual basis.

Avantages

The RMG take over of Symon Communications has resulted in a lot of positive changes: * Investment in the business by hiring lots of new staff * Building a new briefing center and demo center to show off our products * Improved employee benefits And a general feeling for the way employees are encouraged to interact with new staff and shown appreciation with things like a new shinny office and break room to monthly happy hours to frequent communications from HR.

Inconvénients

Growth expectations by executives may be too ambitious. Stated goals (to wall street) haven't been met and likely won't be for some time and the stock price has reflected this. RMG will either experience tremendous growth in 2014 and 2015 reaching new heights or go bust. The new office location means daily gridlock on the North Dallas Tollway, for 90% of the staff who aren't exactly happy about their new commute each day, coupled with insufficient parking doesn't make for a welcome trip to the office. Many employees went from individual offices to low walled cubes, so the privacy and quiet that our development staff had to focus on their jobs no longer exists.
