Avantages

By far and away one of the most satisfying work experiences I've ever had (15 years as a dev). The owner is highly focused on values/ethics, culture, and employee satisfaction. This is a software dev's dream. You're always involved in something new from a tech perspective. The engagements are structured so that you almost never work more than 45 hours a week (this is extremely rare for consultants). The work environment is extremely flexible, yet professional. There is a bonus structure based on company success. One of the things I like about the environment is the high degree of collaboration and knowledge-share that goes on. This is very tough to find in corporate environments, but it's a corner stone of the company's success. I appreciate that the owner is always checking in with employees to make sure they're satisfied with what they're doing.

Inconvénients

You might be able to find higher salary elsewhere. It's average, but it's certainly _not low. That being said, there is a nice bonus structure in place and the quality of life I get at this job is far more valuable, to me personally, than any wage gap.

Avantages

So much freedom to be creative. Leadership really values everyone's opinion and we all contribute to the company's growth. Culture is highly valued. Work-life balance is amazing.

Inconvénients

Small company so you'll get better benefits at a larger firm but if you're healthy and/or have a spouse to lean on for better health insurance ditch the big shops in town and come work for I-S - it's awesome.

Avantages

The team, the work, the culture. 1) The people are awesome. Everyone on the team gives their all and there's a real sense of camaraderie. The boss and management are hard-working, honest, and open with all the employees. 2) The work is fun and challenging. There is always the opportunity to learn new things and keep building yourself professionally. With a diverse client base, you are never doing the same one thing all of the time. 3) The company makes a serious commitment to keep all employees at 40 hour work weeks to help with work/life balance. There's a casual work atmosphere with in-office perks like snacks and coffee. Also the office is open concept with a ton of windows and a great view of downtown Indianapolis - no shoving developers in dark holes here.

Inconvénients

As with any smaller company, an employee often wears more than one hat. As a developer, you have to be willing to interface with clients, assist with documentation, and help manage projects along with your usual programming. I personally enjoy this part of my job, but I know some developers might see this as a con.
