      Avantages

      A few good scientists and technicians. People working hard despite bad treatment by management and no future leads to poor attitudes which is eroding the staff.

      Inconvénients

      Terrible environment. Always out of money or going broke. Management has no contribution except to pressure scientists. Tremendous pressure on scientists to win another SBIR grant or get laid off. No work product except SBIR monthly reports. Technical developments go nowhere. Company isn't interest in making products (can't afford it) and the technology isn't work licensing to anyone. A couple of decent opportunities for non-destructive inspection technology were bungled and squandered by management.

      Avantages

      It offers some flexibility of working hours, especially for working moms who have to pick up the child from school or day-care.

      Inconvénients

      There are too many, and too-frequent short-term deadlines, with virtually no support on meeting deadlines and no 401-K match. A few employees have the maximum control and others are expected to be robots. The business plan is only to keep getting government contracts, with no long term solution or technical expertise development for company. The facilities and technical equipment are age-old and static, and offer no room for growth or learning for fresh graduates that have learned new skills from college and are looking to apply them.
