Avantages

I began working with Insight Global right after college graduation and I really cannot put into words what the company has done for me personally and professionally in the last two and a half years. I took the job because I loved the company culture and opportunity for growth, but in the last few years, I had no idea what the company would become and how proud I would feel to work there. Upper management is truly involved and cares about every single person in the company, including recruiters, account managers, and sales managers. The company takes brand new college graduates and teaches them every trick of the trade and what it takes to be successful. Management opens their home to their employees and takes pride in using the "confrontation model". The CEO and founders of the company are in constant contact with their employees and even personally interview every recruiter for a promotion. Regional managers spend days at a time flying from office to office to ensure that the office is run properly and the employees are happy. Sales Managers and Account Managers take their personal time throughout their week to help mentor and grow recruiters so that each office can grow effectively. Most importantly, promotions are based on hard work and respect within the office. Tenure does not matter, and this promotes a sense of urgency and competition in each office whcih is one of the biggest reason the company is growing so quickly. Off all of my friends and contacts from college, there is not one person I know feels blessed to work for their current company. Most young professionals have already switched jobs several times, feel they cannot approach management, or cannot wait to find a new job. Insight Global gives each employee the opportunity to make an amazing living with great stock options by working extremely hard and holding themsevles accountable to being the best.

Inconvénients

This is not the right job for everyone. You must be extremely positive and have an excellent work ethic to excel at Insight Global. More importantly, you have to be able to step out of your comfort zone, ask questions, challenge management and peers when necessary, and always continue to improve if you want to be promoted and succeed. If you are a looking for a 9-5 job with little accountability or low expectations off the bat, you will not enjoy working at IGI. Many new college graduates with great potential do not want to work hard upfront and do not see success, so they become bitter and leave. These are the types of previous employees that post negative blogs and it is a shame because it is not an accurate representation of the opportunity Insight Global brings to the table.

Avantages

- Great Training if you're a fresh grad or new to the industry. Does feel a bit redundant after a year or so. - High energy, fun people - Good office spaces - A chance to make a lot of money

Inconvénients

- Low base pay. $40k/yr - You'll hear "If you stay you'll be successful" but in my experience it's "if you're successful you'll stay" and most people aren't. - This is location dependent but in my office (in a smaller territory) there seemed to be no interest in our services. 2-3 other Account Managers had ownership over the only large accounts and the rest of us had to fight for scraps. The way they handle account ownership is a gift and curse. - Heavyyyyy grind culture. I love working hard as the next guy but when I put out 300+ manual cold calls a day, week after week, with no success and my manager's only advice is to try harder, that'll wear you down. - Very high turnover. I made a friend group at training of 5 other people when I started. In less than 2 years 5/6 of us left (including me). Most office seem like revolving doors of employees - Kind of feels like they use young people as pawns. Get them to hustle for 1-2 years, hope that they get lucky and strike gold, and if they don't just tell them they need to be "Grittier." I watched incompetent people make absurd amounts of money and very talented people fail time and time again.
