Avantages
They get you a job. When your desperate you'll do just about anything for it, and they know that. This is however the only pro I can think of
Inconvénients
They are completely unprofessional to the point where they will put the incorrect end date on your assignments (meaning you have no clue when your job actually ends) and have you scrambling to find a source of income before your rent is due. They pretend to care about you and then tell you that you cant talk about your hourly wage with other temps (which is illegal in NY state by the way). We found out the temps were getting underpaid, and they made every effort to keep us quiet about it.
