Avantages
Every employee was full-time and received the benefits to go with it which was very nice as I had plenty of employees who were trying to turn their lives around. This was about the only good thing about working for Goodwill.
Inconvénients
• Toxic management. Had a Store Manager who screamed at me and our Team Leads constantly. • Zero accountability for DMs. DMs were allowed to yell and cuss at their store management teams with no repercussions. • Constantly changing backroom structure and how we produced, confusing everyone. Best change was when they upped our daily production number to an unobtainable one and then threatened to fire us if we didn't reach that number. Great culture! • Second-chance employees are treated awfully. Had a member of upper management tell me that I was "naive" and needed to "consider someone's history" when I was trying to tell them that said employee wasn't even present during the accused theft. This employee was later strong-armed into resigning under threat of termination if they refused. They were not the only employee that this happened to. • Super low pay. As an ASM, I made $4 above minimum wage. My Leads made $2 over min wage. Not worth it for everything they ask you to do and how they treat you.
