Avantages

Excellent benefits include 401(k) with employer matching (up to 6 percent). Additional 6% employer matching based on corporate objectives. There are many great opportunities for advancement. Because this company has had deficiencies in certain areas in the past that have had a major negative impact, it has worked hard to turn its image around. FirstEnergy now is beginning to be a leader in corporate implementation of Information Technologies. There are other areas that were turned around in a similar manner. Opportunities exist all over FirstEnergy.

Inconvénients

Sometimes too structured. Separation of duties makes it difficult to get access to resources (access to systems and facilities).

Avantages

FirstEnergy is a big company with a lot of growth that I've seen firsthand. Employees are helpful and all have the shared goals of keeping reliability of the electric grid. The pay is decent and stays competitive with the market rates as they do reviews consistently and evaluate. Its a great company that is trying to do better after misguided leads hip in the past

Inconvénients

Some executive leadership vision is not shared with lower level employees. The recent transition from WFH back to the office has left employees such as myself wondering why its not role based WFH.
