Avantages

One thing I will say that computershare is good at is hiring decent and enjoyable people to work with. Other thing is, they do promote you to get certifications that they say they will pay for but I'm yet to see happen. There are always new roles in other departments and managers are there to help if you want to pursue other interests in the company.

Inconvénients

Expect to have a difficult social life. You work pattern is: 4 on/5 off then 5 on/4 off then 5 on/5 off Repeat This includes nightshifts and weekends, so your social life will be almost non existent. Now into the unfair pay... As if now, analysts are on 26.5k which isn't a lot when you are expected to work weekends and Nightshift, a lot is expected of you, expecting to get certs, take on extra projects and do your regular job. The biggest kicker is they say they are not in budget for raises but new analysts are recently brought on for 32k, make it make sense.... So if you are thinking of applying keep that in mind with how they treat existing staff, I think the high turn over in this department speaks for itself.

It is easy work, good first job.

Inconvénients

Almost too many to count. The RTO policy could not have been handled worse, and upper management regularly says things that feel completely disconnected from reality. In a town hall, the COO claimed that RTO had a “net zero” impact on the company’s carbon footprint, which honestly felt insulting to employees’ intelligence. There’s also increasing discussion around AI, and it seems likely the company will approach it the same way they approached offshoring — shifting large amounts of work to lower-cost solutions regardless of quality or long-term impact. Meanwhile, my group has lost 7 team members since 2022 and only added 2 replacements. The workload has continuously increased, and leadership does not seem to care about the effect this has on employees.
