Avantages

Group of the best and motivated people. Coinbase has been successful in attracting talent. Plenty of upside.

Inconvénients

Beyond the crypto hype, Coinbase is facing some serious people management issues. It has attracted best talent from big and prestigious tech and finance firms, but those talented people are handled in a poor way. Whether it is pay, career grooming or long term retention. Needs some serious change. Have been at Coinbase for close to a year. High turnover and lack of clear career path for experienced professionals are two consistent themes across teams. Titles and levels are not consistent across teams. Compensation is mediocre. Ownership and accountability lacks. People getting fired, forced to let go or feeling unappreciated because the new managers don't connect with the old employees.

First off, thank you for being with us on this wild ride, for the work you do, and for sharing your thoughts. As you know well, anyone who has been with Coinbase for more than a year has experienced a ton of change and growth. Our growth means we have to level up—as individuals and as an organization. Avantages

The people are amazing. Some of the smartest I've met and yet also the best to work with. I learned so much from working here.

Inconvénients

High intensity of work (but you also get good rest). Work hard, play hard. Upper management has been making worrying decisions with AI (eg all in with too little of a plan or oversight).

Avantages

- Des défis techniques très intéressants - BEAUCOUP d'autonomie (ce qui pourrait être un inconvénient) - Des avantages incroyables (allocation de télétravail, cadeaux aléatoires tout le temps) - Des collègues très intelligents - Une excellente communication dans toute l'entreprise - Passionnant - Un PDG et des cadres techniques brillants - Beaucoup de formation utile et d'automatisation concernant les processus

Inconvénients

- Il y a beaucoup d'autonomie, donc si vous êtes le genre de personne qui a besoin que le travail vous soit confié, vous devrez vous adapter. - Étant donné que la crypto est un domaine au rythme très rapide, vous aurez souvent plusieurs projets en cours en même temps, donc l'équilibre entre vie professionnelle et vie privée est généralement relativement mauvais, bien que l'entreprise propose des jours (et des semaines) de rechargement afin que nous puissions tous prendre des congés. - C'est le plus gros inconvénient : vous êtes évalué si vous êtes "sur la bonne voie" ou "hors de la bonne voie" chaque trimestre, si vous êtes "hors de la bonne voie", vous avez 60 jours pour y remédier. Une position assez agressive, similaire au programme PIP d'Amazon qui est notoirement toxique.
