Avantages

Paid for Holidays BUT discouraged and punished from taking earned personal / sick days, bagels and cream cheese for everyone on appreciation days. Central office always polite when answering the phone.

Inconvénients

They are concerned with their profit and cut corners. They do not deliver what they promise. They say they are blind to school style but have VERY strong opinions about what you should be doing - regardless of your school vision and mission. They pay less than other schools because CEO believes it is a mission to teach (you are not in it for the money). The people who work in central office do not have much experience in schools so they are unrealistic in what it takes to run one.

Avantages

Health Insurance and 401k policies are both perks. Salary is at least on par or a couple thousand below public school positions. Good mission and ideals in theory. CS Partners has numerous connections through the community and is notable for hiring many young, enthusiastic teachers. Decent, or on par, resources provided to the students and staff under their umbrella of schools.

Inconvénients

Opaque budgets, poor management, nepotism, very unorganized, questionable business practices, and relative inexperience of staff. There is little room to move-up, whether it be salary or job title, at CS Partners. Employment fluctuates far too much to guarantee security for their employees. Employees' wages are low for the amount of work that is required and expected of them throughout the year. There have also been numerous instances where employees were either laid off or had their hours reduced and health insurance cancelled with no warning for "budget reasons". Many of their schools have been closed or left to dry due to budget constraints which puts the staff, students, and families in a bit of a pickle.
