Avantages

NetApp is in a unique position of being successful and established enough to have cash on hand, excellent revenue growth, great products, and satisfied customers, while at the same time being young and dynamic, with excellent company growth potential. Overall the benefits are very good, compensation is better than market, and if you do your job well it is possible to be rewarded and grow.

Inconvénients

Depending on the organization or manager you work for, sometimes work/life balance is out of whack. The various business units and functions have high expectations and are very demanding, to the point of sometimes being unrealistic, and sometimes wasting time and energy, and burning people out. There is an overemphasis on the importance of delivering new projects, and not enough focus on improving the quality of the tools and solutions already (partially) implemented. In some pockets you will also hear concerns about lack of career growth potential and proper concern for training and development.

Avantages

Amongst the top companies in the data storage industry = company stability.

Inconvénients

If you'd ask me a year or 2 ago, I would have given the company 5 stars. But, as with most tech companies now, they've started to follow the trend of return to office, regardless of logic. There's little to no room for exceptions and the company would rather sacrifice productivity regardless if they know the hardships for people living in metros (one way commute to the NY or SJC office can take 2 hours one way!) - that and there's no commuter benefits. You have to pay out of pocket and live in fear of not receiving your bonus if you miss the "thrive together" quarterly requirements.
