Avantages
The company is what you make of it. You do what you want to do, and get paid what you want. In my time here, I have been able to join programs I found interesting, get paid what I ask feel I deserve. Management is very hands-off, meaning you’ll need to take the initiative to get yourself where you want to be. Many coworkers never advance because they are too afraid to ask… even some after 20 years.
Inconvénients
For those not working in new and advanced concepts, they’ll likely be supporting legacy products. This type of work is draining and difficult to show improvement, skills, or advance yourself. Nepotism also seems to be huge, with many saying, “It’s not about what you know, but who you know.”
