Avantages
Glaxo is still setup as one of the places you get a job and stay for life. There are a lot of benefits to this - great work / life balance, great benifits, a pension plan, lower stress.
Inconvénients
The industry itself is facing issues and GSK has had a number of layoffs. This was VERY stressful on people who had been at GSK for 10-25 years, just showed up, got great pay but didn't invest in themselves. GSK is happy to let employees be average for years and years and pay them very well, but on the open market this means these employees are not desired. And they know it. So the con with GSK is you can be lulled slowly into a listless career..
