Avantages
- People are genuinely nice and want to do a great job. They are quick to partner and give each other the benefit of the doubt. - The company is big enough to have resources, but small enough where you are able to have personal impact and see the results of your work. - Great product. It's hard to work for a company where you don't believe in the product. Not an issue here! - Transparency. The founders are trusting and transparent. All Hands are not yet ruined by the leak culture you sometimes see at other companies.
Inconvénients
- Leadership is passionate and really cares (which is great!), but at times they can get too involved on initiatives, projects or programs, unintentionally slowing them down (e.g. personally approving even small things that are already within defined acceptable guidelines). - Lack of philosophical alignment. Without a 'north star' to guide, some programs/projects are not as aligned or efficient. - Work/life balance varies based on the team. I have a good manager and good skip-level manager and do not have challenges in this area, but many do.
