General Ledger - Senior Executive

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Executive, General Ledger (GL) to support the Finance Department in managing full set of accounts, financial reporting, and audit preparation for the Serai Group of Companies.

This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely closing, and compliance with internal and external audit requirements across multiple outlets.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and compile full set of Management Accounts for audit purposes
• Assist in monthly closing, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
• Prepare and monitor weekly Group Cash Flow reports
• Review bank reconciliations and financial schedules, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
• Ensure all accounting entries and financial statements are accurate during month-end closing
• Assist in internal control processes for financial and administrative records
• Liaise with outlets on accounting updates and document submissions
• Support external audit process and prepare required documentation
• Perform reconciliation of Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow for each accounting period
• Respond to management queries on financial performance and inconsistencies
• Supervise and guide junior finance staff when required
• Provide weekly updates on document submissions from outlets

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in General Ledger
• Must have experience handling full set of accounts
• Prior experience in F&B / hospitality industry is an advantage
• Experience working with multiple systems / system integration
• Basic knowledge of:
• Corporate Tax
• Consolidation of accounts
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and audit preparation
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to meet tight deadlines
• Good communication skills to liaise with outlets and management

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM4,800.00 per month
