Yesterday, we joined in honoring the Navajo Code Talkers for their invaluable contributions during World War II and celebrate their legacy of courage and dedication. We’re proud to support Native American students each year through our scholarship programs. Our Navajo Code Talker’s Scholarship, established in 2022 in partnership with Education Forward AZ, has funded over $1 million to 134 students pursuing higher education. Freeport-McMoRan Inc. today announced Kathleen L. Quirk will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer effective as of the company’s annual meeting today. She succeeds Richard C. Adkerson who remains Chairman of the Board of Directors. This leadership transition was previously announced in February 2024. Meet Jacob, a metallurgist at our Safford operation. Jacob provides technical and background information to the operations team, helping them make critical decisions making sure processes are running safely and efficiently.
