Throughout June, our Together with Pride Employee Resource Group🌈 hosted “LGBTea” events across Davies - bringing colleagues together over tea, cakes and honest conversations about LGBTQ+ inclusion in the workplace. This year, we also celebrated our “Every Family” theme alongside our Working Families and Caregivers ERG, recognising that families come in many forms. As Jamie Howell Co-Chair of Together with Pride shared: “We’re celebrating the many forms family can take. Our mission is to ensure every kind of family feels seen and supported.” All funds raised will be donated to Proud 2 b Parents, supporting LGBT+ parents and carers across Greater Manchester. Through The Davies Foundation, every donation will be matched - doubling the impact. We were also proud to welcome our guest speaker Anubhuti Banerjee, founder of “Wings” - one of India’s first LGBTQ+ ERGs in manufacturing - who joined our virtual Pride panel to share powerful insights on building inclusive workplaces. As Jane Stoate Co-Chair of Together with Pride said: “Being seen and heard for who you are is vital. These conversations help make that a reality.” Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared perspectives and helped make inclusion real - not just something we talk about, but something we do. There’s more to come from our ERGs throughout the year!
On 16 June, our Global Responsible Business Officer, Gillie Fairbrother, joins Andrew J. Troup, Chief Impact Officer at YourCause from Blackbaud, for a breakout session of the “What Fuels You?” vodcast at the Corporate Social Impact Summit - Europe. Together, they’ll explore the personal and professional experiences shaping Gillie’s approach to meaningful change and why responsible business isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are. This commitment is brought to life through the newly relaunched Davies Foundation, our community impact arm. In partnership with YourCause from Blackbaud, we’ve launched a grant platform to enable more consistent community support, while putting giving power into the hands of our employees. We’re looking forward to the summit and showcasing what meaningful transformation looks like when responsibility and community come together. If you’re attending, we’d love to see you there!
Over the past month, colleagues across Davies have laced up their running shoes and taken on challenging events to raise both awareness and vital funds for causes close to their hearts. From She Ultra to the London and Manchester Marathons, their determination and commitment have been truly inspiring, collectively raising over £7,500 for their chosen charities. Thanks to The Davies Foundation, these funds will be match-funded, increasing the impact and making an even greater difference to the communities and causes supported. A huge congratulations to everyone who took part! We’re incredibly proud of your achievement and the positive impact you’re making 🏃♂️👏
When we picture waste, we usually think of plastic bottles or paper coffee cups, but what about the thousands of unread emails sitting in our inboxes, or duplicate files hidden away in shared drives? This Earth Day, we’re clearing out the carbon you can’t see. Our Employee Resource Group, Eco Davies, has teamed up with IT, Information Security and our Responsible Business team to launch a company wide Digital Litter Pick. Phil Pearce, Chair of the Eco Davies ERG, said: “Old files and emails aren’t just clutter - they’re energy intensive data storage. Deleting them reduces our carbon footprint and helps cut costs. This Digital Litter Pick empowers people to make a positive environmental impact from their desks.” It’s great to see Eco Davies driving change that benefits both the business and the planet 🌍

We’re proud to share that our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across Scopes 1 (direct emissions), 2 (from energy use) and 3 (our supply chain) have been independently verified by Carbonology®, and this is the first year we’ve advanced to the highest level of assurance for all three scopes! Carbonology® is the UK’s only specialist Carbon Standards verification body accredited to Carbon Disclosure Project’s (CPD) environmental reporting and verification framework. The verification has been carried out in line with ISO 14064 1 (GHG emissions reporting) and ISO 14064 3 (GHG emissions verification) standards. As GHGs arise from everyday activities such as energy use, travel and repairs, reducing them is essential to lowering our environmental impact. The hard work behind the data is paying off, reflected in a 28% reduction in our emissions intensity, driven by significant cuts in our Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions. Commenting from Carbonology®, Joe Leggett, Davies’ lead verifier, said: “What Davies has achieved is something significant. While independent, accredited verification of GHG emissions data demonstrates transparency, accountability and commitment to credible climate action. Congratulations.”
Today, on National Caregivers Day, we’re shining a spotlight on the incredible people across Davies who balance their careers with the responsibility of caring for loved ones. We know that life doesn’t pause outside of work, and the role of a caregiver can be both meaningful and demanding. That’s why our Working Families & Caregivers Employee Resource Group (ERG) is so important. It provides a supportive, inclusive space for colleagues navigating the challenges of raising children, supporting partners, or caring for relatives. Join us in recognising the caregivers in your life, today and every day.
