Mission Our mission is to continually improve the health and well-being of the people of Pennsylvania, and beyond. That means providing our patients with excellent, compassionate, culturally responsive and equitable care. As the region’s only locally based academic medical center, we educate and train health care professionals and advance medical innovation through research and discovery.
Couple this with our goal to be to be Pennsylvania’s most trusted health care organization, and we know our employees have the chance to gain both personal and professional satisfaction by becoming part of our fast-growing health care system.
We continually cultivate a professionally fulfilling environment for our caregivers, educators, innovators, researchers and staff, all while progressing the science of medicine and disseminating knowledge to the world—as we have done for more than a half-century.
