      Candidature

Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez loveholidays (Londres, Angleterre) en oct. 2016

      Entretien

Like almost everything here in London, it went through an agency. My recruiter was pretty good(I found my current job with him afterwards) and he put me in contact with loveholidays staff very quickly, saying that I was a very strong candidate for them. I made a phone interview, which didn't go that well in my opinion, but they called me to visit the company anyways. They knew I had to travel from Cambridge but they refused paying any costs for it. This was one of my preferences since I love travelling and I was looking into that kind of business when I first came to UK. When I arrived the company, that idea went out of my mind: the workspace was just a big space with lots of microoffices and people working on the same place. There were like maybe ten rooms for meetings on the sides of the office and a small lobby with two sofas for the people to wait. I was made to wait there(a random guy who was working received me) and I was offered some water and waited like 10 mins before somebody else picked me up. Then I went to one of these rooms and a nice guy was asking me some questions while waiting for the Senior Developer. Until then, it was more or less fine, actually. The guy who came was a young man with a black t-shirt and smelling of tobacco. It seems that he didn't have the time to wash his face properly either. He was pretty cold and it seemed to me like he was really busy at the moment, so he put a macbook laptop in front on me with an exercise and he asked me to solve it. When I was trying to solve it, he was doing some work next to me and whenever I asked him some questions, he just gave me cold answers like I was bothering him all the time. After that, I wasn't able to solve more than the half of the exercise and he took the laptop and went away. I waited 10 minutes until the other guy came(they were talking about the interview I guess) and I couldn't help but tell the guy that I wouldn't work here, even if they hired me. He didn't seem to care much at the moment, to be honest. I came from Cambridge for such a cold interview, it was just disappointing and time wasted.
