A lot of hours and time spent filling out outsourced background check info, including a criminal background check where a passport or DL is required, only to not be offered a job! (hope there's not a data breach with the company used) Was told the criminal check was if you were offered a job, so went into interview #3 thinking I was as good as hired only to get an email a day later saying I was not hired. Applied online with resume and cover letter. Received an email and phone call for a screening. Then contacted for virtual zoom interview #1 which was 2 hours and included an Excel test including pivot tables performed online while the interviewer watched and tested for general non profit accounting knowledge. Contacted for interview #2 which was virtual and 1.5 hours and included GAAP for NFP questions related to financial statement disclosures. Interview #3 is virtual and with the regional person and covers specific questions you might have about the organization such as benefits, compensation, networking and collaboration with other YPTC staff and was presented with various scenarios one might encounter on the job and questions about how you would approach the work.

I had an online interview with this company a few years ago. I remember the process of interviewing was weird and felt very uncomfortable and suspicious. Glad I didn’t get an offer. I am now very happy with my current situation as an accounting consultant.
