My Experience with WazirX’s Interview Process The interview process with WazirX started off fine but turned out to be disappointing. Here's how it went for me: Getting Started: Three weeks ago, the HR called me on a Friday for a quick chat and scheduled my first interview for the following Monday with just three hours’ notice. I agreed because I was actively looking for a switch, and the role seemed to align with my career goals. Technical Rounds: The first interview with the Director of Engineering went well, and I felt confident. HR called the same day to schedule a second round for Tuesday. The second technical round was with two people, including a DevOps guy. Honestly, he was a terrible interviewer. Every time I asked a question about the requirements (like "Do we need this in the design?"), he just said, "Think yourself." It felt like he wasn’t interested in having an actual discussion. I did mention I had more experience with GCP than AWS but made it clear that I was currently working with AWS and could learn quickly. Lack of Updates: After the second round, I called HR to get feedback. She said everyone was busy. I waited a week—still no update. After 10 days, I called again, and she told me the feedback was positive and that they’d schedule a cultural round. At this point, I made it clear I was actively looking for a job, and my current contract would end in 20 days. She reassured me that things looked good, which is why they wanted to move forward with the cultural round. Cultural Round: This round happened two weeks after the tech rounds. It felt unnecessary because, during this round, HR again brought up my AWS experience, even though it was already discussed earlier. The interview just closed in 15 min, but it was scheduled for 30 min. She didn't answerd my questions as well. The Final Blow: After the cultural round, I followed up for feedback. HR said they were on vacation and would get back to me later. When I finally called today, I was told they weren’t moving forward with me because they found someone else. I asked if my cultural round went badly, and she said no, but they were interviewing other candidates at the same time. This was so frustrating because if they were still considering others, why bother scheduling my cultural round? I had been upfront about my situation and was looking for clear communication. Instead, I was left waiting and hoping, only to be let down like this. Final Thoughts The whole process felt disorganized and lacking transparency. If they had told me earlier that they were still interviewing others, when they didn't replied. I should have figured this out. Upon asking if everything is positive before culture round, I was thinking I'm getting the job. It’s okay not to get selected, but the way they handled it just didn’t sit right with me.
