Here is a simplified version of the photolithography process. 1. Clean/prepare wafer 2. Apply photoresist 3. Align photomask 4. Expose to UV light 5. Remove photoresist that was exposed to UV light 6. Etch exposed wafer oxide 7. Remove remaining photoresist
