I applied for the Senior Talent Sourcer role in Deerfield, IL but was told during the phone screen that they placed an internal recruiter in the role so they were backfilling the Senior Recruiter role. I was contacted by an employee who should not have conducted my phone screen. He lacked knowledge of the role and company and lacked phone presence. It's as if they had an intern, who had no experience in human resources, conduct my phone screen. I was turned off by his manner and responses to my questions. Unfortunately, situations like this cause great talent to slip through the cracks and not move forward in the process. He did not have an idea of what the interview process for this role was. Based on my interaction with this HR rep, I was no longer interested in moving forward with Walgreens.

Phone interview as a first interview, and also phone interview as a second interview. Follow up call made after two months to state that position was closed but they had another one, and would I be interested in that one.
