I completed my application in early June and got an email about a week later saying that they were considering my application for further review. Literally within 30 minutes I had the next one asking me to complete the video interview on HireVue. They give you five days to complete this so I completed on the 4th day so that I could prepare. This video interview was extremely nerve racking for me because it is so awkward talking to your camera with no human interaction. Dress like you are going to an actual interview and make sure you are well prepared! Glassdoor was literally spot on when it comes to questions that they would ask. After my video interview I did not hear anything for two weeks. Then I got the email to schedule a f2f. They flew me out to Houston on the 28th for my interview on the 29th. You have to provide your own hotel so I stayed at Ramada South which was alright but the perk was that they shuttle you straight to the training center instead of to the terminal where you have to catch the employee bus which was really nice. When I got there, there were about 6 other people there so far. Everyone is SO friendly so make sure that you are making conversation with them. Everyone is watching you, even if it just seems like they are just passing through the room to get coffee. After about an hour (I got there about 7:15), they started checking us in and giving us name tags. We then had a presentation from two current, very seasoned flight attendants. They were answering questions we had as people called us back for interviews. I interviewed with probably one of the nicest people I have ever met. She made me feel comfortable from the moment I sat down. The questions were everything that I had prepared for except for one, which thankfully I could come up with an easy answer to. Truth be told, and I am saying this very humbly and not to be over confident, I know that I nailed that interview. I literally wouldn't change a single thing about it. I am not sure 100% exactly how you get offered a CJO from United, but I DO know that I deserved one. Not getting one to me means that I am meant to be somewhere else and that is okay! I had a fantastic experience. But be prepared before you go. Know the questions, they are all on here. And go into it knowing that you could have just spent all this time and money for a 20 minute friendly session that ends with no. The experience was wonderful, I just wish that they gave some feedback afterwards. That would be helpful! This is a tough industry, but don't give up!
