I applied for a rural carrier position online on Jan 8 in Georgia. I got invited to take an assessment online, then later was invited to take the postal exam all on Jan 8. I then found another position I would had rather had, the pse sales and distribution job and applied on Jan 13, the exam compacity was reached for that position, but I still applied. I still went to take the postal exam and passed with a 83.2 on Jan 15. On Jan 27 I got invited to take a background check and drug test and I took both for the rural carrier position. The next day I got invited to take a interview through email for the rural carrier position. I declined going to that interview though. With all my test and info complete, I am still eligible for other positions. I kept checking the status of my applications on the USPS website and the position I wanted, the pse position, status had changed from "application entry" to "Pre-hire List" on Feb 1 as it did for the rural carrier position before. So I believe now, I will be receiving an email for an interview for the pse position pretty soon. It took 2 1/2 weeks to get an interview for the Rural Carrier Position. It took 2 1/2 weeks to get moved to the Pre-Hire List for the PSE Sales and Distribution Position.
