For the interview I was asked to prepare a presentation in an email received on the Wednesday for the following Tuesday. Thursday morning I realised I had been sent the wrong attachment to prepare for a different presentation, emailed T&T flagging this straight away but didn’t receive the correct documents (including the list of competencies I would be assessed against) until late Friday afternoon. At this point I had lost a lot of prep time, Having less than a week to prepare for a 10 minute presentation (which required research) and an hour long presentation was very difficult. Particularly as someone who works full-time. I think it would have put everyone on a more level playing field if there had been longer to prepare. The actual interviewers were great, made me feel at ease and responded to my answers in insightful ways that really helped the interview flow. We were also asked to prepare a pitch for an imaginary board of directors which we were given 5 minutes to do so in the interview. This was difficult but an interesting test to use. Overall I would have appreciated having more time to prepare, particularly considering the error which resulted in me getting the wrong presentation information. I believe my lack of knowledge of the construction industry let me down which I am not too surprised about.

Interviewed in 2024. Total 2-day physical event. Day 1 included 3 interview exercise. Presentation, case study, and FIT. Day 2 (after passing Day 1) is technical and another round of conversational interview.
