I was told I would receive a phone call on a specific date/time and didn’t happen. The following week, I received an email informing me that they would call me on that same day which they do with no apology for not calling me when they originally said they would call me. Then they asked me to come in for an in-person interview. It took 10 minutes. They just wanted to see me (I guess to know what I looked like) and asked me to return the very next day to start training. On training day, I get there on time and there was no one at the place of business. I texted and called and about an hour later, I received a text message from the owner apologizing because the person who was supposed to train me called in sick. So I went home. Then I received another text asking me to return for training later that same day. Which I did. I spent 2.5 hours training. I asked the owner and I used the words “to be clear” if I was then being hired and he said yes and that my oficial start date would be Tuesday of next week. He said he would text me with details about continuing training the next day. So I waited for that text. At 9:00pm at night I received a text saying he hired someone else. So he rescinded his offer to me. The interview process from hell.
