Very unorganised. 15 of us in a very small stock room staff didn’t really know what they were doing. No opportunity to even talk to them, shoved half of us on the shop floor (in a small shop) to try and approach customers. Obviously at 11am on a weekday, only a few customers were in store (2 customers and 8 of us on the shop floor). We outnumbered them and therefore was unrealistic, uncomfortable for customers and we had no chance to display our knowledge or skills. I’ve had a quite a few group interviews in my time at both bigger and smaller companies, and this was the worst by far. I think they were just making it up as they went along.

Entretien
I applied for a role at The Body Shop Croydon. To say that the process was dreadful is an understatement. The manager of the shop was extremely rude and disrespectful. She was nitpicking at every I said and did, didn't listen, tried to put my down, tried to imply I was a failure, chucked a booklet at me and didn't have the decency to interview me properly in a proper room. I did an unpaid trial shift and she did not even thank me. Afterwards she lied saying she would call me to let me know if I got the job or not, but she didn't. I felt completely messed around and she wasted my time. Very rude. As a loyal customer I was very disappointed and as a result of my poor treatment during the interview, I stopped shopping at that store because I will not spend my hard earned money at a store where I was disrespected. I will never go back. If the store manager didn't like me she should not have asked me to come in for an interview and free trial shift in the first place. I hope interview practices at that store have changed since then but I doubt it.

Questions related to CV and personal skills; Floor simulation. Also, questions concerning the previous experience. During the floor simulation, they looked how I can deal with real customers. In case no customers were in the shop, the manager pretended to be like a customer.
