Let me start by saying that this company is completely unprofessional in their communication. This interview is actually the second time I have interviewed with this company and both times I was 'ghosted' without a follow up or rejection. The first time was after the recruiter screening, which was very positive and the recruiter said he would like to advance me to the next round. Never heard from him again. The second time, I made it to what I believe was the final round (a panel interview) and never heard from them again. I had to give up multiple hours for all of the interviews, not to mention the prep and time in between interviews, and they did not even have the decency to send a simple rejection letter. I have no doubt that this company is doing great things, hence why I looked past the first time being 'ghosted' and applied again. But their HR/people operations team needs serious help. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful to candidates' time. Overall, the interview process was not necessarily bad or difficult. It started with a recruiter screening, followed by a couple of interviews with the hiring manager and other various team members. The final interview was a panel format, which the director was on, but I am not sure if that is always the case. Overall, I would not recommend candidates waste their time with Tempus AI. I have nothing against the work or mission, but companies that treat their candidates poorly do not deserve high quality candidates.

I have interviewed with Tempus several times and have positive, enthusiastic feedback from my interviewers only to result in multiple weeks of silence and no offer. Tempus should practice better communication with their candidates in line with their actual hiring practices. Do not let Tempus waste your time and use you as candidate fodder while they figure themselves out. The actual interviews were relatively easy and simple and I had pleasant conversations with all my interviewers.

A brief 15–30 minute chat with HR or a recruiter to explore my background, interest in the role, and learn more about the company. This was followed by two interviews with members of the hiring team, including a director and a VP. Everyone I spoke with was courteous, friendly, and respectful throughout the process.
