Entretien
I applied through a referral and got contacted by the recruiter quickly. It was confusing as to what team and products they were considering me for and kept being told there were a lot of opportunities to get me to stay interested to continue with the process.
As such, I was interviewed by two different hiring managers for two different teams. Both went very well, and then I was scheduled to meet with CPO, devs, designer, and I believe the program manager? All went well, required a lot of coordination between my current job and responsibilities.
No red flags except for one of the interviews where I kept getting interrupted and seemed all over the place as I calmly answered. Was a little frustrating especially since it was scheduled in the evening after normal business hours to accommodate that person, so think I dodged a bullet!
Ended up with no offer, but the hiring manager was very kind and said I had an impressive background- I believe they had someone else in mind all along after all that.

Entretien
Normal recruiter screen. Asked to do the Predictive Index — basically a personality test and an IQ test. It is definitely a personality and an IQ test despite them trying to spin it as otherwise. Plus they didn’t share the results at all which showed a lack of transparency and respect.
Behavioral interview with peer PMs. They spent TOO MUCH effort on strategy, which for this 0to1 project is actually detrimental because it takes time/effort away from iterating and developing a good PMF. Felt like the interviews were biased against me though hard to say exactly why.
Eventually a case study and presentation. A very long interview process for a remote role with a salary basically the same as other companies. In the end, it was not worth mine nor the company’s time.
