I was contacted by a third party consultancy. There were two technical rounds and a hr round . I had clearly stated my salary expectations. When they proceeded with my profile I thought they were okay with it. But on final round the guy says we can't afford that. It's out of our budget. I was really disappointed. It's really hard to schedule interview when you are already working full time. The gr guy tried to persuade me with some future hike promises but there were some red flags. I guess they went with someone with lower salary expectation.
