I have applied using Applitrack and heard back maybe 3 weeks later. The interviewers were rude, telling me what they did not like in my portfolio and what I didn't need in it. Truthfully, other interviewers had asked to see the content in my portfolio, which is why that information is in there. All the interim superintendent kept talking about was the high competitive salary (which is not why I was there, but already knew about it). He said it about 3x during the interview and how he would approach situations that I was not successful in. He kind of made the interview more about himself rather than listen to my answers and keep the interview going. I was rudely spoken to and told "I don't want to hear that answer/ I don't like that answer" on many of my answers (which in other schools were more than sufficient).

What do you know about our school district ? What else, what else after that...

There was an initial interview with two senior staff. It was cordial and they expressed interest in the person over the resume. This made me less nervous and it went very well. I felt I was having a conversation, rather than being asked a list of questions and analyzed. However, in the same conversation the interviewers asked my age, nationality, and my relationship status. I then did a demo lesson with one of the classes. The final interview at the superintendent's office felt like it was less about hiring than intimidating me. Interviewer would respond to thoughtful responses with, "That's not a good answer, try again."
