About a year ago, I had an initial HR interview and it went well, I was ask to go to their office for my second interview, and during the second panel interview, it went well but I was redirected to another position. Despite the hiring manager’s interest, I didn’t get the job. A year later, HR contacted me again about a new opening with the same hiring manager, ( I didn’t apply this time but was happy to hear from them again). Anyway, after weeks of waiting and anticipation, I was disappointed to receive an unclear feedback and inconsistent communication. I was told I wasn’t a fit. But then, after 2-3 weeks, the hiring manager contacted me and recommended me again for another position that doesn't report directly to him. So I messaged HR again but HR said I wasn’t suitable for the position. The experience has been confusing, disappointing, and somewhat unprofessional.
