Very simple, it took about a half hour. I had already been referred to them by an employee and had actually already met the interviewer about ten years previously when I had first purchased the CAD package they use although I had not communicated with him since. Talked with the Design Services Manager only. An important subject was my background/experience with Solid Edge and GD&T. The next step was to go over to Kelly Services, the personnel contractor in San Mateo and fill out all of the needed paperwork. I found the interview process easy except for the GD&T questions. I do not know if my experience was typical. It is important to know that the formal interview is really only the first step. All new designers are put into the design services bull pen to get up to speed and learn the software, GD&T, and the fine points of navigating the SLAC documentation system. This is also the trial period and people that don't perform up to standard can and do have their contract canceled at that point.
